How To Open Cr2 Files On Windows 7

I recollect the outcome is the Windows has not updated to recognize CR2 files from certain cameras. I am having the same effect with Catechism 6d. Windows recognizes cr2 (RAW) files from older cameras. Information technology's very frustrating that Windows has non updated their Camera Raw files.

I have waited a while after reading this thread, as i too have a 77D, which the files will not open.

Is in that location an answer yet please ?

As far as I can tell there is no resolution coming from Microsoft.  I've just resolved the issue by using Canon Digital Photograph Professional person or Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 and they both work only fine with raw files (Canon .CR2 files).  Nonetheless sure would be nice if Windows Explorer could open the newer .CR2 files... :)

I accept just tried the help desk-bound, who said they were going to send me a link to refresh the app, not had it even so.

I use Lightroom, but I similar seeing the images on my screen saver, which practice not show at the moment.

Lets see what this link does, it was supposed to exist hither within 15 mins, but not hither yet...
